Additional Information
If Oko is fully open source, why integrate officially?
Even though Oko is fully open source and self-hostable, an official integration offers additional benefits beyond the SDK:
Access to Oko-operated key-share nodes for secure, production-ready signature generation.
Lower operational overhead through managed key-share services and infrastructure.
A unified end-user dashboard for viewing assets, chain-specific addresses, and connected dApps across your app ecosystem.
If you’re interested in an official integration, we’d love to chat.
Can we self-host Oko using the open source code? Anything to keep in mind?
Yes. Oko is fully open source, and you can self-host or adapt it as needed.
A few notes:
Oko uses the Apache 2.0 license, which includes rules you must follow.
If you use the SDK on your own, you’ll need to remove Oko branding where required.
Review the Apache 2.0 terms before deploying to ensure compliance.
What is the process for an official partnership?
Once we connect, we’ll send you a short integration form.
After you submit it, we’ll issue API keys and register your app.
When setup is complete, we’ll help you verify the integration and get ready for production.
